Please oppose the legislation listed below that hinders law abiding citizens ability to defend themselves against the 40,000 to 50,000 violent acts committed yearly in Washington.

This legislation criminalizes the most common self-defense firearms owned by over 40% of Washington households and similarly restricts off duty law enforcement who often are the first to react to in-progress crimes.

This legislation does nothing to address criminal activity but rather actively undermines everyday citizens means of legal self defense and disproportionately affects those who live in low income and minority communities with high crime rates.
