So is there a legal limit to how much alcohol a person can bring across the oregon border? I'm bringing a car up from cali this week and I'd like to weigh it down with some vising liquids :)

Whats so special about Alcohol in California? I could understand if you were buying it in Mexico cheap.

Thanks Torpedoman! That's what I wanted to hear.

Trlsmn: less alcohol tax (if any). Makes it cost effective to buy it down there. Plus you can get it at wal-mart.

Less tax in CA, also you can buy it in any store, so the mark up is less.

I was shocked the first time I saw Liquor on the store shelves in Cali and also when I went to Canada and couldn't find beer in any store.

I think you are okay as long as you don't go over the 10,000#, then you'll need some sort of hauling permit. LOL

If you're coming back up 101, All Star Liquors in Smith River, CA has good prices and selection.

There is the little matter of the WA State law that you have to pay the WA sales tax when you bring it in. There have been police stops at the Idaho border in the past to grab such "importers."

At WSU, the kegs are cheaper 8 miles across the border in Moscow. Not uncommon to register a keg in an Idaho address and bring it across, though it's illegal.

We're actually just talking about this in the chat room. This is what followed me home. This is like a 3 year supply for me... Or 1 good party :)
