Looking for advice on a good solid scope mount that holds zero for my CAI AK74. Not sure what kind of optic to put on yet maybe a straight 4x20mm something or other.

I saw a couple of mounts that looked good on K-Vars website but read some mixed reviews.
--Quick detach is not an issue since its gonna stay on all the time.
--Any advice is appreciated on mount and good scope options (its an AK so not looking for mega precision over 200yds).

Thanks in advance

The Midwest Industries and UTG scope mounts are both good. Made of solid material, solid lockup, close to the receiver, just generally solid mounts. The Midwest Industries mount will be a little bit lower on the gun (and I mean a little bit), will weigh a good deal less and will cost more than 3 times as much. One plus with the UTG mount is that you can still remove the dust cover with the mount mounted, which can't be done with the Midwest Industries.
