This M14 style flash suppressor was on my Yugo AK, had about 1000 rounds through it then decided it just couldn't handle the firepower and failed. The pics don't show it but, there are stress cracks at the front of the other two openings or flutes also.
It failed near the end of test firing a new 75 round drum. My son noticed that something hit his hand, stopped, and that's when we noticed the issue!
We always do, but...a good reminder as to why we always protect our eyes and ears!
No harm done to people or gun...now to find a new flash hider that looked as cool as this one!

I like the AK74 style. Works good and looks Great.

Agreed, I'm glad nobody was hurt as well. I've got an Arsenal SGL (similar to the one tattoo has pictured) with the 74 style muzzle break and it works very well indeed. Even in low light shooting there's marginal flash. Well designed.
