AK-47 sling bracket too large

The AK-47 sling bracket that bought when I ordered a Romanian Surplus wood furniture is too large. Is there a smaller sling bracket available? I'm somewhat competent with a wood chisel that I can make the bracket I bought fit.



I bought all of the items needed to start stripping the varnish off restraining the wood furniture.
