So... I have this Micro T2.
Had it on my Benelli M4 for a few years. Finally got a chance to use an RMR on a friends M4 and fell in love.
I have a bad habit of 'looking through' my T2 when going both eyes open. I can do it well, but I never knew how much of an effort it was until I switched up to an RMR myself.
I feel like I have Terminator Vision now.
Right off the shoulder - no hunting a dot - Both eyes open - full field of view - big clear dot. Not harshing on my T2 at all. For me - on a shotgun - RMR is just faster.
Anyway.... So I pull the T2, move it to a mount for an AR.
And promptly stripped a helicoil.
Felt like a buffoon. Tried hard to source one (tiny tiny tiny) but no luck.
So I decide to check Aimpoint to see how to fix this.
Low and behold - on their web page for service there's a dropdown box for 'Issues'....
And right there is; 'Replace Heli coil'.
I'm not the only one!!! Hurrah! Seems there's lots of ham fisted folks like me out there.
Long story short - Got an RMA #. Service guy says, "No worries! Got it covered! Happens all the time."
I sent it in last Thursday - just got my tracking # for return. It's in tomorrow. Only 1 week turnaround including a holiday.
I guess it's true... You get what you pay for.
Edit: Forgot to add... Lifetime Warranty.
