Aftermarket Stainless Guide Rods

    I ordered some stainless replacement guide rods for all three of my SIG Elite Stainless pistols. They are really nice and the price was so good. I paid $75 for all three with shipping. This video shows how easy they went in, how well they fit, and how great they look.

    Why would one want to change to a metal guide rod? Lot of talk about them; but, I would like to know what benfit they provide.

    They are more durable and less likely to fail. I have seen a polymer guide rod fracture and cause a weapon to fail before. Also, they look so much nicer.

    It would have been better, if it was brushed finish to match the Sig. Too shiny for my taste.

    I did consider bead blasting the ends.
