Left for Afghanistan on New Year's day 2010. Told the wife I'd be back by the 4th of July. One thing lead to another and ended up staying a little longer. Well, last week (Turkey Day to be exact) I finally made it back to US soil. So far the wife hasn't told me to shave......but I'm sure it's coming.

Gas prices have sure gone up. Now I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to watch football!!!! And unlimited bandwidth!!!

Jet-lag is kicking my butt.

Hope to meet some of you fine folks in the coming months.

To be clear I was one of those dambed contractors....

You left for Asscrackistan three years ago, haven't been back since, and you're still married? Well done!

I gotta pretty cool wife. However, I did take her on a few trips. We met in Amsterdam then went to Greece, in the summer of 2010. She met me in Dubai and after a few days we went to South Africa over last Christmas and New Years.

Yes, I was being a little selfish. I didn't have to deal with the jet-lag. :D
