Hi all,

Addicted to QD mounts so letting go of this very lightly used, in perfect shape Aero Precision Ultralight FDE Scope Mount for 30mm tube scopes, SPR (2" offset).

I only ever had a Primary Arms 22LR 1-6x scope in this, and it was only ever mounted on my 22AR. So, no recoil stress at all.

Comes with box, aero sticker, tool.

$60, with $5 of that I will donate to the site.

PMs and replies to threads monitored. Thanks for your interest.

Sure thing. The offset is so that you can mount your optic more forward while keeping the mounting surfaces on the receiver, keeping your eye relief at a good distance for your cheekweld. Offset mounts are common for AR-15 style mountings, as many low-power variable optics (1-6x type) require a forward offset to keep enough eye relief when you have a typical cheekweld.

Perhaps some pictures of mounts would help show the difference. These are the 3 offsets Aero Precision offers, using their terminology (Std, Extended, SPR):
Standard (no offset):

Extended (1" offset):

SPR (2" offset):

As an example, this is an extended (1" offset) mount on an AR-15. Note that the mount is at the most forward part of the upper receiver, and the scope is mounted as far forward as possible on the mount. Even so, this keeps the back end of the scope just at the rearmost part of the upper receiver. If this was on a standard mount, the scope would be even further back. If you used a standard mount, you could mount it on the handguard, but people don't like to do that due to concerns about shifting zero as the handguard could theoretically move relative to the upper.
