Well here is my latest creation. Sinus and I took it out a few days ago and sighted the glass and the irons with some 62gr M855 rounds. Very impressed so far but I think I need to try some razor core 77gr through it. It has the makings of a tack driver.

Picture heavy!

Is the atlas-s stable enough to use those irons? How much flex does it have relative to the barrel?

@SS232 I don't think I've really even got this barrel broke in yet but I'm working on it. Good to hear your report on the Larue barrels. I've always respected Larue's product quality and innovation but this is my first barrel from them. You can count on a range report once I get the 77gr through it.

@Tlean It never even crossed my mind when handling the Atlas S-One (both uninstalled and installed) that it might not be stout enough to handle the job. My first impression of the rail was amazement at how light weight it was. My intention for this build was to create a DMR light weight enough that an average person wouldn't mind toting it around all day and yet still be able to achieve above average accuracy at longer ranges for the 223/556 round. The rail feels plenty stout enough to handle the job and this may be due to the design. It is slim enough and provides the right contours to eliminate flexing and promote rigidity to a point that I'm confident it will hold up to any rigors that I or any average shooter would expect it to. I am pleased enough with it to recommend to my family and friends as well as buy again myself.
