What is your trigger/fire control group and what ammunition? Some non mil-spec style hammers have reduced mass that doesn't always play nice with military primers, which are a bit harder than civilian.

Reversed hammer spring is the normal culpret. If it went in too easy it was probably upside down. Too good to be true usually is.

Ditto on checking the hammer spring. Bought one in .308 two years ago and have never had an issue with any brand [Hornady, Remington, Winchester] used.

If hammer spring isnt it. Measure the firing pin OAL. and while its removed take out your bolt and insert and make sure it has propper protrusion.

Watch alot of episodes of "school of the american rifle" on YT to see how many different things there are to look at.

Its most likely primers, hammer spring. Check for binding in the hammer make sure it pivots freely. No special anti walk pins pinching the outsides of the lower in and pinching the group..
