Recently sold an Aresnal AK47, SAM 7S. Doesn't have a scope rail and he now wants a good scope, etc. Looking for advice on a system, mounting rail, scope an ring(s), I know very little about ak's, except the incoming sound. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks in advance, B6
Parabellum Armament AKARS (AK Adaptive Rail System) or Texas Weapon Systems Dog Leg Scope Rail.
Another option would be to add a side rail but the new owner would also need to purchase a scope mount. There is a member on AK Files selling a side rail that he's marketing as the "AK Master Mount" that installs using the hammer and trigger pin holes. http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211091
For forward mounted RDS or holographic, either an Ultimak Scout Mount or Midwest Industries railed/KeyMod handguards. On my AK's, I run both an Ultimak and a Midwest Industries AK47/AK74 Universal Handguard, on separate rifles of course.
