That's the problem right there. They can deny or delay the release for months or years as we can assume based upon anything.

it's unlikely they will release anything. There may also be pressure from above to keep it quiet if it doesn't fit a narrative.

Whats sad is, alot of the murder porn the wife loves to watch, most cases don't get resolved for years sometimes over 10 years until either someone digs deep enough or enough evidence finally emerges.

The rub here is that there is a massive lead that is, on the surface, not being explored.

Who did the car belong to? Was it stolen?
Shouldnt be hard to to link the owner to the scene, etc.
If stolen, there would be prints everywhere.

Though Ill say as others have pointed out... That vehicle does not look like it ran a person down. There is zero damage on that thing.

Maybe if it were as cut and dried as a vehicular homicide and self defense shooting... It would be over and done.

I suspect something else went down and there is some Smollett type business going on here and the city doesnt want to show its bubblegum

Brought this up a few pages ago like a month or so ago?.

As I said it really depends on who digs deep enough and how much evidence can emerge before a final nail is struck.

After binge watching forensic files now for the last month (shes always watching it) as i said some cases have gone on to at least a couple years if not 10s of years and sadly that'll be the case here if it doesn't completely get submerged in a grey line case archive.

The one upside I can say about all this murder porn and the dozens of shows, you really get a sense for the effort put in to tracking down and apprehending people with proof and the dastardly deeds done by the criminal minds orchestrating how to elude the long arm. There is one such case where a man was wrongfully imprisoned for 10 years over a bite mark sole because a rep from Arizona imposed his dentures over the victim though DNA and everything else pointing out its not him.

Sadly the Jury sided with the Rep vs the 3 standing forensic experts and their factual scientific findings. Later it became law that DNA evidence would be required to convict. The man was later released once the 3 experts were able to prove this during his appeal and the rep admitting he made a mistake which cost the man his life basically, he chose to falsely convict vs come out and say he made a mistake.

It all takes money. With, what I can imagine, is a lack of forensic staff, who is there to dig into a little case like this? If it was a congress persons son/daughter? Oh, they'd come up with the staff. All it was was some poor schmuck kid. For Christ's sake, how many hundreds of RAPE KITS are stacked in evidence rooms across the country that have NOT been processed?

But potland is one of the top bicycle friendly cities in the country! So we got that going for us.

Portland Mayor, Ted Wheeler, does not want to publicize that his favored ANTIFA boys caused a death. He ordered the investigation closed. IMHO.
