ACRs, SCARs and XCRs

The reason I bought an ACR is that the lower on the ACR is replaceable (Non S/N part), the trigger & safety pack slides out like a Hk 91/93. You can replace the bbl assembly & bolt head and just slide you trigger/safety assembly in a 7.62x39 lower and you are good to go; MagPul designed the gun to be fully modular. I have heard that w/ Remington now pushing hard for LE/Military sales that these parts should come on line quickly.

 

[Tactical Design]

7.62x51 Nato will not work in the ACR, nor was the ACR ever designed to run the round. The yet to be developed Magpul Massoud is the big brother of the Magpul Massada (now Bushmaster/Remington ACR).
