Acog for hunting?

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of building a .308 AR. So far all I've got are aeroprecision upper/lowers. I'm building this with hunting in mind. I've used scopes and irons for hunting and know that they are perfectly legal. I've read and heard that using any electronically powered sights is illegal. Knowing that the trijicon ACOG isn't battery powered I was wondering if it is legal to hunt with them.

To restate the question: Is it legal to hunt with an ACOG?

Any information regarding this would be much appreciated along with .308 build info as well

I believe that regulation is in regard to active laser emitters that actually paint the target with some sort of lighted marker.

(In Oregon) you can use passively (ie non-projecting) illuminated reticle type scope, IIRC.
