Those signs have no rule of law in Oregon, but I'll add them to the list. Was at Molalla Ace Hardware today, there is a sign on the door NO GUNS ALLOWED.
Told them I would not be shopping there any more, was told it's corporate policy.
Is this new?
Local ACE Hdw has a big gun store here in Hermiston although it is in a separate bldg. Don't recall seeing any signs last time I was there. Don't think its corporate policy ~~ probably local franchise owner. They sell sporting goods at a lot of their stores. Those signs have no rule of law in Oregon, but I'll add them to the list.
They don't even sell pellets in Mount Vernon.probably local franchise owner.
Unless it's a Courthouse, School or Federal building...I'm going in...Trespass me if you want.

I like that. "I am my own 'safe place'".I have on a few occasions (mostly due to being hot and removing my outer layer) open carried in Ace in Ashland, or my work vest may ride up as I work through racks of parts etc, looking for what I'm after that day. They give the stink eye big time, and seem to remember me when I'm not open carrying and still give me the stink eye. No one has ever asked me to leave; I've seen no signs as of yet. But as it's been stated many times, the signs don't have force of law in Oregon on their own.
I think their conditioning gets challenged when someone is 'acting normal' (or even is just a plain nice guy, like myself) yet has a gun on them, and it causes some cognitive dissonance against the internalized mainstream narrative about those nasty scary guns and their evil owners. Too bad, so sad. Moving on.
P.S. I am my own 'safe place' and yet I don't have to impinge on anyone's freedom or beliefs to maintain it. I think this the most troubling and challenging to the socialist minded sheep who constantly look outside themselves for safety and security while eschewing any responsibility for it themselves. Far be it from them to understand that freedom is not granted from others but established and maintained starting from within.
Ace is the place with the helpful hardware snowflake.Anti-American is more like it.. they changed their jingle from "man" to "folks".
Remember when GI Joes changed their name? Just sayin', man!
