I have been driving quite a distance to shoot and was wondering if anyone knew of a pit, ridge, valley, etc.. in the Columbia County area that is available for shooting??

    Thanks!

There are 2 ranges, one in Rainier, the other in Clatskanie but I do not shoot out in the woods so I can't assist you there.

For Swords place you just go into V-town, turn left at the Subway, the road ends in Anderson Park. Take the bridge over the Nehalem onto Swords place, go left til you find the range. Clean up when done.

You can shoot on state forestry property. Have you checked here?

    Columbia City Unit Office
    405 E Street
    Columbia City, OR 97018
    503-397-2636

I'm not familiar with that area but you can get maps and possibly info at the forestry center. I used to shoot out in the tillamook burn area until I moved out to Fairview.

If anyone has dealings with tbe Rainier Rod & Gun Club, their site seems to have be down for some time.
