My SIL is a history buff and found this patriot while working on my daughter's family tree. Think about this 15yr old kid compared to kids today.
This message is from him to my son Matt;
I've been putting together a family tree of direct ancestors, (parents only), for Sice and found this last night and thought it was pretty cool. This is one of your 6th great grandfather's on your dad's side. You have 256 grandparents at this level so it's a pretty thin slice, but legit documentation of deeds of direct line family is pretty cool.
Not sure how much you're up on your Revolutionary War history, but this guy saw some of the biggest battles of the war, and the fact that he survived the winter at Valley Forge (less than 700 made it through), pretty badass.

Keep in mind they died a lot younger.

Average lifespan in 1790 was 38 for a white male. So 15 was nearly mid-life.
