I've lived here about 15 years now but I haven't lost my accent. So being Canadian I take a lot of heat as well. Apparently Obamacare is my fault and socialism is the devil that I am to blame for as well. Go figure. ;)

If you really want some hands on, I would suggest one of the local gun shows. I went to the gun expo this year and it was great! You can't beat the hands on experience and you can find a lot of friendly people to chat with.

OK - is this like a puzzle? so far we have a deleted post about two jacks, a .....? post and a post about canadians causing obamacare and socialism...

here we go - does it mean that if we delete Canada/Canadians that obamacare and socialism will die too?

At least give us a knock-knock joke or something to work with... Put up a nice picture even. Don't get why it was deleted having read it. I really don't understand how an American can get away with being sore about the tea party or the war of 1812, it doesn't work that way, let alone blaming socialism and obamacare on the English. You were the better man for even politely listening to that douche-bag. That's about as retarded as the virulent anger that apparently many Britons have towards "Americanism's" and our blasphemous influence on "the English language". It's probably just gun envy anyway.

For the record, Canadian food messes my stomach up something nasty. Kinda creepy. It's all Canada's fault!

So you are not in favor of smothering french fries with cheese curds and brown gravy? Or squeezing the juice out of clams, putting it in tomato juice, and calling it "Clamato?" I guarantee those two "delicacies" were thought up by someone(s) who had consumed way too much beer beforehand.

(For the record I prefer Caesars over Bloody Marys, but please don't tell anyone.)

I was wondering what you considered "Canadian food".

the french fries with cheese curds and gravy is "Poutine" and that is more of a french-canadian thing. It's rare to see it on a menu west of Quebec or Ontario.

But fries and gravy (beef gravy) I guess might be a Canadian thing. That's a lot more common across the country.

It's more of a broth made from clams then juicing them.

Honestly after 25 years living in Canada, I don't think there was any food that was really labled "Canadian".

I was not aware of that "poutine" stuff until my daughter told me about it. Looks like it has migrated to BC.

And thanks for ruining my image of "Clamato." :( When I picture the first Canadian to squeeze the h*ll out of a clam and drink the juice I would always laugh. No more "clams and tomatoes in the Vita Mix" images either :(
