    The Deschutes River frozen almost solid. This is just below my house.

    I was in Kennewick, I think it was '77, in the USCG, when the Columbia froze over. It was 22 below.

    Yeah it has had some cold years.
    There are pics of the willamette in Oregon City with cars out driving around on the river where the 205 bridge is now. Frozen solid bank to bank around the 1920's

    You could hang targets on the opposite bank. After all it is the De Shoots river . . .
