Matt Millican has an MA in Counseling Psychology.
He has been studying and working with offender issues in forensic mental health since 2008 and has been heavily focused on sex offender treatment and issues.
He currently works in private practice rehabilitating domestic violence offenders out of Canyon County Idaho.

Given the recent attempts to use mental health issues as a vehicle to deny people gun rights, this is a timely exploration of the issue.

The problem is hugely the reporting system is open for huge abuse of influence and power.
The more recent proposed mental health laws are showing Family member and even down the totem pole to the likes of drug counselors which are nothing more then the equivalent of a CNA in the medical field as far as knowledge ( not to insult anyone with that job but they are not even close to qualified). It appears social workers are in the mix as well and being many of these are state and county controlled and we all know how honest state and county employees are?
Mental health education and prevention of violence is a good thing as long as it does not violated personal rights in the process. Anyone remember the famed mental institutions
in the 50.60.70's a sort of witch hunt would return with the same level of incarceration standards or darn close to what it would take to disarm someone, this is dangerous very dangerous.
