Please, lets just agree to leave facts out of this discussion. They are irrelevant to the argument. At least they are to the sheeple and the Administration.

Statistics and facts have never meant anything to the sheeple and never will.

Look at all the hysteria over the last dozen years about 'terrorists.' Your chance of dying from choking on a peanut (specifically) is greater than your chance of dying in a terrorist incident. But the sheeple tremble in their beds worrying about what some brown person 7300 miles away might be doing.

It would make more sense to run when a can of Planters was in the same room.

One catchy emotional phrase completely trumps all statistics and logic: "If we could only save just ONE life, then banning all firearms would be worth it". If I remember correctly it was used quite successfully during the debates for the '94 Assault Weapon (Features) Ban.
