Sighting in my 270. I get good groups at 100 yds (and am in the bull), and respectable groups at 300. I only had time (and ammo) to take 1 shot at 200 yds, which is where I want to be sighted in at. I have 1/4 MOA adjustment on my Leupold VXII scope.

I need to adjust the scope. One Part quiz and one part that I do not remember.

1. Do I adjust the scope Up or down?

2. How many clicks?

Picture attached.

I believe a 200 yrd zero on a 270 would put you about 2" high at 100 yrds. Personally, All of my big game rifles (with standard cross hairs) are set at 2.5-3" high at 100 yrd's to take the guess work out of hold over out to about 300 yards. If you trust the scopes adjustment, it's a simple matter of dialing it UP. If you have a 100yrd zero, 8 clicks should put you 2" high at 100yrds=dead on at 200yrds. Good Luck on your elk hunt!
