Your serial number prefix is: BFS
In August of 1990 the BFF prefix was first used by S&W.
So BFS would have been used late in 1990, or early in 1991.

He took it out and "fired one cylinder full through it, took off the side plate and poured out the parts!" He was PEEVED!
