In the 80's during a previous debate about confiscating firearms. Somewhere it came up that the USSR estimated there were between 30 and 40 million firearms in private hands in Russia alone. All of them were illegal and most had been squirreled away since WWII.
Now if in 40+ years the USSR couldn't clear the population of Russia of illegally owned firearms How on earth would the USA do it?
Pretty sure the Soviets tactics would careless about how they were treating the people.
