You remove the butt pad and take a real long bolt out of the stock to remove it from the frame.

After removing the butt, there is a long bolt way up inside the stock that takes a 12 long extension to reach!

Yep pretty much the same as a Mossberg. I had so buy a longer extension socket extension the one I had wasn't long enough to reach the bolt.

IIRC, mine was a 1/2" Bolt head, circa 1990's.
