I cold blued the blade, minus the edge proper, back in the 80's. Never sharpened, still razor sharp. In excellent shape.

Same, I already have one like this, one with San mai 3 and the 3rd is my camp knife aus8 I think. For general camping purposes, I don't think I'll ever go back to a ax.
