The novelty was there when you could buy 'em for $40....not too expensive if you screwed one up. Now, cheaper to buy a finished lower...

They are pretty hard to screw up if you use the right tools and take your time hardest part that can go wrong is drilling the buffer tube hole but if you screw that up then you can always just use it for a dedicated .22 pistol or folding stock build.

I never built one did the research even bought the tools (lmk if you want to buy them)but like UnkaBoo said i would hate to screw one up

The AK 80&#37; is usually easier to finish than the AR
