75 Hornady ELD and AR15s are a no go.

The 75 grain ELD (and those heavier) was designed to be single loaded for long range competition, it was never intended to be magazine fed. And those I know that shoot it competition all acknowledge that fact.

How do they do? I've heard nothing but great results.

BTW, the Sierra 69 grn BTHP will work out of a magazine.

I stay with 55 grain or a bit lighter in 5.56/.223 (same thing). I've better things for long range.

This type of sled is used in the AR platform for longer COL rounds. Be careful about the gap between the bullet and the rifling.

Hornady/Lake City .. boasts , ( 2900+ Vel. fps ) , out of their factory box, using their older ( 75 grn HPBT ) .
that is pretty excellent for Magazine feed . but I do imagine that the powder is most likely proprietary blend to pull those #'s .

Yep, it's been done.
Here's a sloppy cut job but it's something to try.
I'd take a 20rd aluminum Okay mag and try it.

Indeed they do, I load them for SHTF scenarios.
