Actually, Myth busters did show the cannon shot heard round the networks. There are photos online. Google/image "Myth busters cannon shot" and check em out.

Heh, the first one I looked at here was captioned "SIG 45 Auto 200gr V-Crown JHP shooting at -65°F":

If you stop it at :27 you'll see a big old Remington "R" after the "1911" on the slide. Very cool video, just not well labeled.

+1 he has some great slow-motion videos.

There are some other good ones out there too. I really enjoy the SloMo Guys channel. They did one of guns firing underwater that was pretty interesting. Amazing how quickly the bullets begin to tumble and immediately decelerate to an almost safe level.

Skip to about 3:00 for a semi-auto pistol, about 6:00 for a revolver (which I think was even cooler)
