709's back, results are in!

Albany Guns called yesterday to say that my Taurus 709 Slim had been returned from Taurus on warrantee repair. I was unable to shoot a magazine without an FTE when it went in. The pistol was heavily oiled, almost like they dipped it. Also, the pistol was gone about two months!

Got out to ARPC last night and shot Rem yellow box, Horn CD and DT 9mm +p ammo. The only problems I had were with the DT as it may be too powerful for the 709. The slide locked back after several of the DT rounds even though there was ammo in the mag.

Other than that, the 709 is shooting just fine!
