7.62 yugo shortage?

Many sites(AIM, etc..) are out of the 1260 bulk box of the 7.62X39 Yugo. Anyone know anything further about this? I did find some through Ammoman.com for 229 shipped.

That's the problem with foreign "Military Calibers". Too easy to make them a political football and the import restrictions put so much delay and expense on the product that nobody wants to handle it. If it's not 7.62 X39 or 7.62X54 it's pretty much obsolete and all supplies will dry up. Even 30-06 for garands isn't as plentiful as it once was. When I was a kid I could buy it in strippers for less than $0.02 per round. Now the only way it's affordable is to reload.

This stuff is coming and going fast but there still seems to be a fair amount of it out there for now. I've updated this catagory on gun-deals.com - User-Submitted Gun & Ammunition Deals a lot lately. The demand for this caliber is up. With the price hikes we've seen lately which shouldn't affect these because they're surplus so is the price of these. These are hourly updating charts for this stuff and reloadable 7.62x39.
