Read through and researched as much as I could. Cant find a clear answer.

Does I-594 require a FFL to transfer a private party sale of a lever action rifle?

It does on any pistol and semi auto rifle as far as I can tell. Unsure about levers and other manually operated rifles.

Best to just do an ffl transfer then you know it's good if anything comes up. It's not a 10 day wait same day as long as you don't get delayed. Even know I think this all infringement on our rights.

Yes, my understanding is you need to use a FFL to transfer a lever-action rifle too.

The best lever actions are over 50 years old, so a buyer with a C&R FFL can buy them direct in Washington.
