.50 Beowulf

I was channel surfing earlier and hit the Military Channel.
The had the .50 Beowulf on Future Weapons. That looks like one bad mutha!
They were shooting steel plate and cinder blocks with it and it was crunching them big time. I hadn't really read much about that round so I looked some stuff up. Seems like it would be a fun upper to have in the AR arsenal. Probably pretty spendy to shoot though.

Anybody else know much about this round?

I have researched this for awhile... It is a good upper to have if you really need one, but the range was kinda lacking...
look at the grendel instead..

My buddy has one and loves it. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but he's quite the connoseour so I'd consider one on he recommendation. FWIW
