Some places only care if they have the triangle shaped handles. I can't tell from the pics which style they are.

Exactly. If they're past the certification date, simply exchange them for a newer tank at one of the exchanges.

The key is to ask the attendant to let you quickly look through the available tanks, rather than letting him just grab a random replacement. It's just like buying the freshest milk on the shelf.

These have both been used in the last year or two. And yes, take them to one of the exchange points like Home Depot or Freddy's
