It sure is, also found some Federal NT in the mix. I'm reluctant to buy new SP brass as I've got thousands of LP and only a handful of SP and I reload so am not going to buy ammo. If I happen into a couple K once fired SP I may bite.

Why do they do this with 45acp?

Small primers have a reputation of better/more even ignition. Some bullseye shooters feel like it makes them more accurate. Similar to 308 Palma brass in the rifle calibers.
