I have an 1863 Ballard Kentucky Civil War rifle that shot rim fire cartridges in "46" caliber. The bullets were 2 inches long. I have excellent hollow-base bullets in the right caliber. I can make (am making) new rim fire cartridges from 44-40 brass, and they shoot pretty good, but they are a little short. 45 Long Colt are too big in diameter to fit in the breach, as are 45-70 brass.

So, would like to buy some Marlin 444 brass, if any body has a lead.

Thanks, John M
