410 single shot

Ok I have a 410 GA single shot shotgun and do you think that you can kill a deer with a 410 slug?

Store bought slug pushes an 87 gr. pill @ 1800MV.
That puts ME at 626 ft./lbs.
...that's just a tad more than a .22 Hornet produces.
Even the Brenneke Magnum that CertainDeaf mentioned is only 109 gr. @ 1755MV for 781 ME.
JMHO, but if I were you and able to go another route, I would definately go with a more substantial round.

Just found this video...I may have to rescind my prior post...check it out......

SO, while I still say you'd be better off with something more powerful, NStone23, if the .410 is all you have and your buddies are asking to come huntin' with them this one time, then ok, go ahead and use it.
HOWEVER, based on the video above, I'd advise you use those Brenneke Magnum rounds and keep your range within 50 yards...the closer, the better.
