.828 Length
257-258 grains (used some Speer lead round ball to cast with)
Could be intended for the .40-260 Winchester series (.40-65-260, .40-82-260 and .40-110-260) or the .40-260 Bullard as listed in the Ideal Manufacturing Co., New Haven, Ct catalog from 1900
Could work with:
.40-50 Sharps
.40-90 Sharps
.40-100 Sharps
375 H&H Magnum
375 Remington Ultra Mag
378 Weatherby Magnum

My guess is it's an antique but still usable. Manufacturer markings readable. Asking $20 picked up in Kitsap County area and as far south as Gig Harbor, $28 shipped.
