Here is a long read on achieving perfectly placed 100 yd shots through the same hole, although it happened indoors.
I was very impressed with the consummate skill in setting up the range, reloading near perfect ammo and the years of trial and error to achieve that holy grail of accuracy with a rifle, compared to hitting a gong at ultra long distances that is just for fun and giggles.
