36 REASONS WHY MEASURE 114 PASSED BY 24,972 VOTES.

Voter turnout, county by county as of 6PM on 12/7/2022 are shown below. Some of the results are pathetic. Predictably, the highest support for the measure was in the cesspool of Multnomah County, with 75% to 25% in favor. The measure led in Washington County 62% to 38% and Clackamas County at 52% to 48%. The measure led in Lane County at 54% to 46% and in Deschutes County at 51% to 50%. All liberal strongholds. But there were THIRTY TWO other counties that could have helped change the results. And for those on the Eastside who harken for "The State of Jefferson" and are always saying "The State is always controlled by the valley and we don't have any say over here on what goes on in Salem so why should I even bother to vote?", well, you had your chance and you blew it. 2,987,421 registered voters in the State and only 1,968,623 bothered to show up. 65.9%. That was 1,018,798 lost votes. That's an average of one out of every three registered voters who were apathetic enough to never bother to vote. Those non-voters should be embarrassed and ashamed. They screwed all the law abiding gun owners and the businesses that trade in the firearms industry because they were too lazy to take 15 minutes to fill out a ballot and drop it in a mail box or a ballot drop-off box.

Good info, thanks. But here's a tip: calling Multnomah Co a cesspool is probably not the best way to find an extra 1% margin to win. Those votes were surely there in Multnomah.

Well......I'd like to see a "DEAD PERSON" voting in person.
Graveyard_voters.png

Aloha, Mark

Do you know if that doesn't happen now?
I haven't seen it. Ballots are scanned and counted using computers. Minimal numbers of people are involved, some are contractors. In the video about election fraud in Oregon it was determined the code on the return envelope could be used to determine the person's political party. Optical character reading software is 10's of thousand lines of code. Who's to say there isn't something going on there ?

Well......I'd like to see a "DEAD PERSON" voting in person.

Aloha, Mark
And I would like to see actual evidence of dead people voting* but I'm not holding my breath

*OK, truth be told, I do know of some cases of people using dead relatives ballots to vote, but that isn't what the conspiracy theories are about so . . .

Yeah....."CONSPIRACY".

So......is that defined by? "Two or more."

BUT, But, but.....
Then.....the LEFT likes to say......

"If we could save just one life."

So, what about?

"If just one dead person votes."

Nah, forgetaboutit......
Some people might be thinking that I'm talking, "Apples to Oranges".

Aloha, Mark

Voter ID is the only solution.
One of several or many. Gun owners need to come up better "what we're for" messaging. What we're against is not working with majorities in blue or purple states.

The Anti-Gun crowd (sponsored by billionaires) changed messaging to "gun safety", which is totally false, doesn't reduce crime or suicides (the majority of deaths by gun), but are never held accountable for results. So they win.

After all, who doesn't want "gun safety"?

Well, I wish more people would consider voting to be a civic duty of ALL citizens, but turnouts of 65-75% are actually amazing considering that IIRC turnout for a midterm is usually somewhere around 22-30%. I'd have to look it up, but that's my recollection.

We actually did fairly well in turnout. But blamers gotta blame. This fight needs to be won before it gets to petitions and voting... it needs to be a cultural change. But with all the proggies living in the corridor, that is not likely to happen.

This is why Lane County numbers were so low. :s0054: I had my whole family's ballots returned, saying that they were challenged due to signatures not matching what they had on file. I know of at least 10 other people with the same result. unsurprisingly, these were all 'no' votes for 114. I have heard of many others that this happened to also. Who knows how many of these "challenges" there were. They sent a form for us to fill out, and return, but the measure was passed before we even got the forms.

I got the same type of letter when living in Vancouver in Clark County. Naturally, I voted for Trump during his reelection and I knew it was a dirty trick

The only answer is to get back to voting in person with paper ballots. ID verification and citizenship verification should be required to register and ID required on voting day. Tabulations should be done by real people with secondary verification by other real people.

Too lazy (or ignorant/stupid) to get off your butt to go vote?...then you should be excluded from the voter gene pool.

Too lazy/stupid to get off your butt to vote?...then you're too stupid to know what's best for yourself or the functional people who do participate.

Legitimate absentee ballots are OK....and some mechanism for the infirm should remain.

...and FJB

Roughly 34% Democrats. Roughly 35% non-affiliated. 25% Republican. The remainder, various 3rd parties (Green, Libertarian, Constitution, Socialist, Working Families, et cetera) even if 100% turnout from the registered Republicans, they'll lose against Democrats with say roughly half of the Non-Affiliated voters for either side. That it got so close on M114 says a lot.

We have bad enough voters turnout watch it drop when the voters have to vote in person. I will always vote it is my right and others feel the same way. My guess is that many dont.

Yep IMO even early voting shouldn't be allowed . Vote on the day the polls are open or wait till next year , it would fix a lot of the ills with the elections.

And I would like to see actual evidence of dead people voting* but I'm not holding my breath

*OK, truth be told, I do know of some cases of people using dead relatives ballots to vote, but that isn't what the conspiracy theories are about so . . .
I think it is. Not necessarily relatives, but access to ballots. Filling them out. I think especially when your kid finally moves out and are bouncing around, they leave the home address and don't traditionally care about voting, insurance, taxes...

Nah, the nutty theory is that there is a massive secret Lib/Dem organization that somehow has access to vote counts before anyone else and cooks the books with just enough votes from 'dead people' to tip the vote the way they want.
And for the life of me I can not understand why that is more comforting to some people than that the obvious truth that other side is better funded, has a better ground game and manages to set aside petty differences and not go all nO TrUe sCoTSmAn long enough to get things done.

We, on the other hand, do what you see when you read through threads like this one.

Now watch as I get attacked for not actually supporting 2a, being a secret "yes on 114" voter, called a troll, put on even more peoples ignore list and all of that because I have a difference of opinion on a non-2a issue (in this case, "voter fraud")

Panic buyers.

Speaking with a shop owner yesterday, they stated a family of 6… 6!!!! Came in and were bubbleguming and moaning and groaning about politicians doing this.

1 of the 6 voted.

They were pissed they couldn't order anything in.

So yeah, they were the panic, apathetic buyers.

That still doesn't account for unclaimed ballots or those used by someone else. Like a parent or caretaker.
While better funding never hurts, look at the areas in question. It's the liberal hives. I don't agree with most and don't like the current iteration of liberals, but I don't go against their rights. I just see more opportunity to abuse it. Their mantra to vote party line at any cost.
