This is a 20th century made Southern Mountain Rifle.
.36 caliber ( .375 round ball ) , percussion lock , maple full stock , with no nose cap , entry pipe or butt plate.
Marked "Cheney" and 36 on the right barrel flat..and 119 on the left barrel flat.
30 inch octagonal barrel , buck horn rear sight , "iron" front sight.
Browned barrel , trigger guard and toe plate.
13 1/2 inch trigger pull , single trigger.
Bore is bright and well maintained....lock works nice and crisp.
Lock has leaf spring...and not a @#*% coil spring...
Excellent overall condition...with some light handling marks.
