.357 Rossi

I finally got a 357 level action! I went to a local shop and spotted a 357 lever. I hope to go shoot it later this week.

Congrats! My marlin lever action is one of my favorites. Most people who shoot it enjoy the hell out of it too.

I spotted a 16in here at the Big 5 in Corvallis. Had it been the 20in I would have had to beg the woman friend for some cash :s0114:

What barrel length did you get? The 16in just felt too small for me; almost like a toy.

It is an older 20" stainless without the safety.

Had a 16" Rossi in .357, with the JOhn Wayne Loop. Man I loved that rifle, shouldn't have traded it away. Definitely got bit by the pistol cal lever gun bug, have 3 now, looking for another .357, maybe someday...

I went to the range today with my Son. We put about 120 rounds through the Rossi, we had to stop a few times to let it cool. It seems to shoot quite well, ran several types of ammo through it. It really doesn't like to be short stroked, but don't we all. It is a fun gun. And the mag holds 11 rounds.

I have the 16" and love it. Definitely doesn't like short-stroking. Do you get any double-feeds with .38 cartridges? Occasionally when I cycle it, one live round will pop out along with the empty that just fired, while it still loads another round.
