Coming to Salem and Portland 4/11-4/12 I am looking to meet somewhere on the way from Redmond. I will consider trades, only thing I am looking for is Lone Eagle or Competitor pistol in .308 or larger caliber. Reloading equipment is always good. Also 30-30, 30-06, 32-20 and 44-40 brass. Leupold Vari-X II scopes too.

Please post, "I will take...." if you want it, but I will not consider the deal finalized until we have exchanged emails, texts or a phone call. At that time, it will be marked as "sold pending FTF". I will do my absolute best to go in order, but the best way to ensure your "place" in the order list is to text me.

As the law requires, I can only sell to someone whom I believe to be from the state of Oregon. I do not require ID checks or bills of sale. I am happy to do either of those if you need. I am legal to posess and sell my personal firearms.

I am not opposed to shipping out of state to your FFL.

I do NOT sell junk. I back up what I am selling and will make it right with you if an unknown problem pops up. I would only sell guns, ammo, and components that I would shoot myself. I WILL NEVER INTENTIONALLY RIP SOMONE OFF. Just call me and I will make it right.

If you are interested, feel free to shoot me a phone call or text message if you want: 541-306-1399

Randy

I hesitate to sell this one, but I really just have so many guns and can use some cash...

I also have available a brand new set of RCBS dies for this and some brass and bullets (all available for a good, fair price).

'98 Mauser with new stainless 35 Whelen barrel (unknown manufacture). The action, it appears, has been nickel-plated and looks nice, matching the barrel. Has a new rubberized Hogue stock that feels very good in the hand (like the Howa 1500 models). Sling studs, drilled/tapped for scope. $335 ($350 with dies)

From Wikipedia:
"The .35 Whelen is a powerful medium-bore rifle cartridge that does not require a magnum action or a magnum bolt-face. The parent of this cartridge is the .30-06 Springfield, which is necked-up to accept a bullet diameter of .358 in (9.1 mm). This cartridge is more powerful than its parent, especially in killing power on large game.

Suitable .358 in (9.1 mm) bullets range in weight from 150 to 300 grains (9.7 to 19 g). This round can use .38/.357 pistol bullets (which are all .358") for cheap practice, low recoil target shooting, and varmint hunting. Using a 250-grain (16 g) bullet, the .35 Whelen will generate 3,500 ft·lbf (4,700 J) at the muzzle from a 24 in (61 cm) barrel.

The .35 Whelen is the ballistic twin of the .350 Remington Magnum. With the correct bullet choice this cartridge is suitable for virtually all thin-skinned large and dangerous game."

In addition to being able to buy this ammo and brass over the counter, you can fireform your own brass (or form it using the dies) from standard 30-06 brass. So, you don't have to spend a lot of money tracking this brass down like you do with some of the larger calibers!
