308 gas system question.

I have an AR10 long range setup with a 24" GA Precision barrel and rifle length gas system.
It is a heavy beast so I would like to have another upper made for CQB purpose so I can switch uppers quickly for long range.
I would like a 14.5" upper with a battle comp pinned.
My question is on this CQB upper can I run a rifle length gas system so my Magpul PRS stock can stay on for the 24" upper?

NO.

You will need most likely a carbine gas system with a 7.62.

But you can still use PRS regardless

He's right - you can swap out the buffer without removing the tube. Uhhhhh... here:
