Pretty sure you can buy brass for 410 shot shells. What are you
going to use them for? I have a Contender that shoots 45 LC/
.410 3". When you screw in their choke that came with it, pop
cans disolve at 50 feet. My shoulder held shotguns don't have
a pattern that dense. Not sure of the thickness of 303 commercial
brass. Most military is Bredan primed.

With the exception of US ammo and possibility of that made for the
US market, the majority of import and military is Berdan primed. More
difficult to load and sizes vary with the Berdan. They tend to be
slightly larger than American Boxer counter parts. Used to be Herter
imported boxer cases and Norma, that you might know is pretty spendy.
No longer a military adopted round by major countries, it will continue
to become scare. Most of the major ammo companies still manufacture
loaded ammo. The .308 bullets work in some, but .311 are pretty easy to
find in both cast and jacketed bullets.
The market on surplus rifles in that caliber are pretty well drying up.
Still don't have a clue what you plan to do with this catridge case. Reloads
as is are good from one to five, due to a lot of factors including the rifle
they are fires. Lower pressures than today's 50,000 and upward 30 cals.
I know that a company by the name of Gibbs converts the SMLEs in to .410
shotguns. Forget if single shot or magazine feed repeaters

They really are not hard to find, but the prices give me sticker shock:(
I have a few hundred loaded for a SMLE Sniper that I own. It remains in
excellent plus condition, they along with A4s continue to climb in value.
I load them until a slight mark where they separate in the head area appears
They are then discarded. Most of the range brass, when there is any,
is the Berdan military stuff. Military is heavier any closer to chamber
dimention than US. Just a pain to decap and kind of scary to use an
undersized primer punch. Some love it, what can I say !!:s0112:
