I been playing with a Ruger american ranch rifle in 300 blk trying to get a good sub load that will shoot well at 100 yrds.
Found a lot of 220-245 gr bullets that don't work well as in 4"+ groups, tried some Makers 180gr hoping to find a hunting bullet got 1 1/2" group my first try.
Any body else shooting their black out at 100 yrds with any luck?
here's a pick of mine.

I was surprised that I was easily hitting clay pigeons at 100 yds with just a red dot. 150gr plated pill over 5.2gr longshot. I was using my ar15 16in barrel.

So a while back I tried to load up a Rem700-AAC flavor to .300 BO with subs.

My pattern was 2". I couldn't do much better than that. Moved powder in .1gr loads, changed crimp, seating depth. Said screw it and went with a different gun.
