Went down to the court house in Seattle today and applied for my cpl.I'm very surprised that the process is so simple in such a liberal state.Fill out two forms,show ID,get fingerprinted and that's it.Took about 30 min.

We do have a few very nice state laws in WA. We're slowly making progress on the bad ones too. By the way, it may show up in less than 30 days. That is the maximum time they have to issue it. Some cities erroneously refer to it as a "waiting period". Some other places will have it to you in just a few days.
