30-06 mag identifacation

    Could be for anything but i have 2 that were found in a box with 1972 30-06 AP black tips and tacer boxes. Old military rifle?

    That's for a Remington 740 or 742 rifle..

    Yep, the ol' man had a 740 and I recognize those.

    Remington 740 742 7400 760 7600 or the new 750 should all use those mags.

    I believe it's goes to the 742 the other Remington clips don't use the little button level.

    I remember that on the 740.
    That must be the bolt release.
    If so, wouldn't be needed on the pump models of course.
