I'm very disappointed with the downward spiral of society in general. I'm more bothered by the deteriorating social conditions than I am with politics, although I know they do go hand-in-hand.

The exact same thing was said under the obummer administration. Yet here we are after 8 years of his occupation in the oval office and another 4 of trump. Record sales of firearms and related materials in the last 12 months.

While i dont doubt there is and will be attempts to erode and potentially completely destroy the 1st + 2nd Amendments.
I am reluctant to shout fire from the roof tops.

Under the trump administration we certainly lost pieces of equipment. I also recall statements that a national reciprocity act would be made law under his leadership.
What happened to the national hearing act that was touted by trump that would become law?
We also just watched him sit back and let the ATF attempt to make another piece of equipment a NFA item. I didnt hear or see anything from him in response to that issue(granted i wasnt watching closely).

I have no interest in arguing so much as lets present the actual facts and actions that support the statement you made. I want to be able to make educated + informed statements to friends and family.

And look what happens when patriots take even a tweeny weeny baby step towards standing up against tyrants. They are demonized from all sides. There will never be another 1776 type makeover in the US again.

Biden was very emphatic on the campaign trail (uh, his basement) about taking away, primarily, ar15's. Not in my lifetime have I heard a presidential candidate threaten our 2A rights like this. His joke of a VP pick is beating the same drum. And when I say "take away", I mean that figuratively, through legislation, not a knock on your door, that won't be necessary.

I agree that the tolerance for dissent will quickly evaporate. Demonization via agitprop will become widespread.

To your point about no more US resets: seems to me this depends on whether the radical elements will insist on going for broke with their socialist fantasies straight away, creating a step-too-far flashpoint. Discipline is not a strong suit with the current crop of pols. They want it all and they want it now!

Alternatively, they may be content to continue the slow boil of average Americans. My guess is the first 100 days will reveal their intentions.
